What a great show. I loved listening to your episode with Dave Lorenzo on the 60 Second Sale. As someone who loves sales (but loathed them when I started with cold calls and cold door knocking), I loved what he said about hearing the word “no”. In sales, we are trained to look for the no’s. It makes us really good at it if we can really get into it. What you two were talking about with regard to how our limitations are i’’our minds really resonated with me. I love that because it’s a game changer when you understand that sales is just about helping people solve a massive problem and getting paid for it and then taking imperfect action, get on your feet and have fun. Thanks so much! Love this show.

- A lot of times, people don’t realize that your voice is your instrument. The way you’re saying things and who you’re speaking to—you’re going to use a different style of voice depending on who your audience is.
- It’s not just what you’re saying; it’s how you’re saying it. And there really is power in sound.
- If you’re pitching somebody for what you do, you don’t just want to be flat. You really want to use those dynamics to be engaging.
- I know once you say things over and over and over again, you own them more. You just get more relaxed. Your confidence is stronger. So for somebody out there who maybe is trying to fine-tune their elevator speech or their elevator pitch for their business, I encourage you to do it over and over and over again, not the same way, but to change the way that you do it. You know? punch different words.
- If you’re gonna be speaking for a long time, you don’t wanna overly nasal, and you don’t wanna be overly down here because the next day you’re not gonna be able to talk. You know? You’re gonna really lose your voice. So for people who are having to give presentations where you’re talking the whole day, you really need to take care of yourself and your vocal instrument as much as you would be drinking water.
- Podcasts really are the future. And if you have never been on a podcast or you don’t host a podcast, you’re really missing out.

Mario Fachini [00:00:19]:
Do you know how important your voice is? You use it every day. Maybe you do, maybe you don’t. But if you have a business, You should be using it. Now when I say your voice, that could be in your message or story, speaking to your customers, speaking to your prospects, but maybe it’s conveying with your team. Maybe it’s using it in your home life. But how important is it? Is it just the words you say? Or is it just the volume at what you’re speaking with? Or do you want to use all these different things? And they’re all important, but are you conveying it properly? I know I can I do this all the time, and I know I could do a better job. And that’s why I’m excited to have Rachel Sparrow on today’s show. Professional voice over actor and coach and check out who she’s done voiceovers for. Amazon Google, Samsung Galaxy, Yahoo Xfinity, Goldman Sachs, PetSmart, ExxonMobil, McGraw Hill Education Chase, and REI. Now I was debating about doing that in a little bit of a sing song fashion, and maybe we’ll get into that. Maybe we won’t I’m excited to bring her up right after we thank our sponsor.

Mario Fachini [00:01:47]:
Here she is, ladies and gentlemen, the lovely Rachael Sparrow. Rachel, how are you feeling today?
Rachael Sparrow [00:01:52]:
I’m great, Mario. Thank you so much for having me. I really appreciate it.
Mario Fachini [00:01:57]:
I’m excited to learn all the good stuff and share with expert authority world that people should be doing to improve their voice. What why is your voice so important?
Rachael Sparrow [00:02:11]:
Well, number 1, I think a lot of times people don’t realize that your voice is your instrument. If you think about it like that, I’m also a vocal coach. I I coach kids on how to sing and how to use their instrument properly. And A lot of times we just don’t think about it. Right? We’ve been talking since we’ve been talking and we just talk how we talk. But the way you’re saying things, who you’re speaking to. You’re gonna use a different style of voice depending on who your audience is. You know, if I’m talking to my kids, and I want them to do something. I’m gonna have a stronger dynamic. So use of dynamics, which are your louds and your softs to really you know, pull people into what you’re saying if you’re just talking at one volume. But then you’d say, okay. It’s time to go. You need to put your shoes on. Let’s go right people are gonna listen a little bit a little bit better.
Mario Fachini [00:03:07]:
I can hear the difference in your voice, and it makes sense what you’re saying in that regard. So if you wanna be more, I would say sympathetic and empathetic. Okay. You know, you would say in the example of your kids, say, okay, sweetie. It’s okay. You know this and that. And you’d would you say you generally drop your tone versus make it more aggressive?
Rachael Sparrow [00:03:28]:
Absolutely. And, you know, I just use that example because I think every mother out there has that issue of telling her kids to get their shoes for the up team time. But, you know, in business and and, really, a lot of times when I’m doing different voice over work, it’s it’s called the use of Dynamics. so you don’t wanna be speaking at one volume the entire time. Because if I’m just speaking to you here, Mario, it’s It’s gonna be boring. Right? I’m gonna lull you to sleep with what I’m saying. But all of a sudden, if I bring my volume up and I I say, oh my gosh, you will not believe what happened the other day, it was unbelievable. So using those louds and softs those are the use of dynamics, and you can really bring people on a sound journey with what you’re saying. And it’s so it’s not just what you’re saying, it’s how you’re saying it. And there really is power with sound.
Mario Fachini [00:04:24]:
So what would you say is better? And I’ll give you know, I like you. You’re cool, so I’ll let you know this is a trick question. What’s better? All soft all the time or all energetic and aggressive.
Rachael Sparrow [00:04:37]:
Well, you know, either one, you can’t have all of the same thing all the time. You really do have to mix it up. So you have to take people on, again, that that high and low journey of what you’re saying. You know, maybe you’re really trying to draw people into a more emotional side of a story you’re telling. But then you need to really bring it up and and color the story up with your sounds. And You know, a lot of times when I’m teaching kids how to sing or I’m helping somebody with a monologue, we really focus on, okay, where are you gonna build, and then where are you gonna relax? It’s the same thing. A new new position that I’m with is with Pod Mac talent. And I’m basically a multimedia coach, and I I help our talent to fine tune their message. That’s very important. If you’re pitching somebody on what you do, you don’t just want to be flat. You know, you really want to use those dynamics to be engaging. Now I get — I think you do that pretty well, actually. In the way that you speak, I hear that you do that naturally.
Mario Fachini [00:05:44]:
I I’m I’ve been trying to get better at it, and You don’t wanna be flat because I I I’m biting my tongue so much because there’s so many people I know of that they just kind of, like, when they’re and saying one of these things, and it’s like holy smokes, dude. You’re you’re excited. You’re energetic. You wanna notify your face. But then there’s other people who I can relate to because of my theater and drama background and all this other stuff. But they don’t realize Maybe it’s just the two of us. Maybe we’re at lunch, maybe we’re at dinner, maybe we’re on the phone, and they don’t realize they’re offstage. and I’m thinking of a comedian right now from one of the roast that I saw. And it’s like, oh, it’s always good to have her here, you know, we always appreciate when you yell your bit at us because all they ever do is I don’t even wanna do it. I don’t want to blow out the mic well, the microphone’s great, but I don’t want to hurt expert authority world’s ears, but they’re just always yelling. They’re always like, okay. Look at me. It’s like the they just seem so stressed and anxious, and I don’t know if they really are or not. but they never just have a, hey, cool. It’s they can’t ever dip back down to, like, normalcy. It’s just like full on 247. It’s like, holy smokes. I feel like a random marathon. And all I asked you was how your day was. Why do people do that? So true. We know
Rachael Sparrow [00:07:12]:
Well, I think, you know, it’s just comfort zone. And, again, it’s in training. We all know people who, again, like you said, speak down here. quiet and and then the booming voices. And and I think that comes with a confidence and then also working with a coach like me, I’ve had the experience on both sides. You know, I’ve been coached, and then I’ve also done coaching. And, you know, you were so graciously when through a few of some of the the jobs that I’ve worked on in VoiceOver. And it’s very interesting, you know, for a company like Amazon, it was one line. At Amazon, we have everything from a to z. That was the line. But I had to do it 50, a 100 different times with different inflection in different ways. And sometimes that can be really difficult being on this side of the mic and having someone say, okay. Try it this way. Try it this way. But then in doing that, it’s helped me to become a better coach because I know once you say things over and over and over again, it you own it more. You just you get more relaxed. Your confidence is is stronger. So for somebody out there who maybe is trying to fine tune their elevator speech or their elevator pitch for their business, I encourage you to do it over and over and over again and not the same way, but to change the way that you do it. You know? punch different words. For example, when I say punch, I mean, maybe give a little bit more emphasis to different words. You know, like, At Amazon, we have everything from a to z. You know, I punched different parts of that than I did in the previous one. So I think that we get into a routine of what we do, how we do it, and that’s just how we do it. But then when someone throws you a curveball, then you get off track and you get disheveled and you can’t you can’t do your thing. So repetition is good. Repetition is good. Repetition is good. I think that is a really, really good way to to own, own your pitch, own own just talking about your company when someone says, hey, Mario, what do you do? Sometimes people clam up. and they don’t know what to say, how to say it. So just practicing and saying it to yourself in the mirror like you did maybe getting ready for a 3rd grade play. you know, you stand in the mirror and you and you recite your line, that’s something that I really help people with. And it’s very simple. Anyone can do that. but but it’s a very good practice.
Mario Fachini [00:09:45]:
I love the insights that you’re sharing, and it’s so applicable because The elevator speech is important. If you’re putting on a presentation, it’s important. If you’re hosting a show, might wanna be uncomfortable might want to be uncomfortable, might want to be comfortable on the microphone and or camera, depending.
Rachael Sparrow [00:10:06]:
Absolutely. And in this day and age, you know, when the pandemic hit, I would say maybe half of the people were playing around with Zoom or doing video chats, but we didn’t need to. You know, now it’s a completely different world. I think webcam sales skyrocketed in March, April of last year because, you know, if you didn’t have one, you needed to have a good setup, you need to have a microphone, you need to And you can use your laptop if you’re doing Zooms, but it just sounds so much more professional if you have a good camera, if you have some lighting, if you have a microphone that that captures the sound a little bit better. And then also, to be looking right into the camera, I really help people with this because, yes, I do voice over work. but a lot of what I’m doing now is the combination of on camera and voice over work. So I I’m really trying to help people Remember that, yes, you need to look directly into that camera and make sure you have a microphone. You can’t be looking down here. You can’t be this far away from a microphone and you know? So these little tips and tricks are very helpful for people, and it doesn’t matter what industry you’re in. It doesn’t matter for your child. You know, a lot of the kids that I coach, yes, it’s for theater, and it’s they have dreams of being on Broadway, but Are most people gonna be on Broadway? No. But is everybody at some point in their lives going to have to stand up and give a presentation and hold their head up high and speak with confidence and know their instrument to be speaking from the right place, not to be way down here. and and their fry. And not to be booming with a booming voice and yelling at people, but to use their their instrument with confidence. So I love what I do, and I really, really love helping people to be the the best version of them. There’s only one Mario. Right? There’s only one Rachel. So —
Mario Fachini [00:12:07]:
And I appreciate you for saying that because Whether you’re on stage or not, I was in band choir drama, play Altosac’s piano, and choir, you’re required to sing. required. That’s cool. I can make that into a joke somehow. But to your point of being on camera, I have no doubt sales have one up. And I actually if Logitech ever sees this, I wanna talk to you because I can’t tell you how many people have asked me about the BRIO. I even set up a page on the website eainterviews.com forward slash equipment because they’re going, what’s your setup? What’s your lighting? What’s this? And, yeah, I do this professionally in its business and this and that, but even prior to that, it’s like why wouldn’t you want to present in the best foot forward? Another thing that came to mind was, weddings, toast, hey, graduation, celebrations, all these different things. And I remember I think the first time my public spoke was Thanksgiving at church. And, you know, it’s been good because whether it did for a business or not, you know, people have asked me, like, at their birthday parties or a big celebration. Hey. Could you say the the blessing of the food beforehand? It’s like if you don’t know how to address the room or just have a one on one conversation with enough social acuity and common freaking sense to differentiate the 2? You know, it’s always interesting in movies when you have the guy and he’s like, wow, stranded, and they just have a good voice and you can tell who he is. But you don’t need to be doing that all the time, you know, so If someone’s looking for their voice, Rachel, how would you say they can find it sooner than later? without taking years years of refinement if maybe they don’t want to be a voice over actress or actor. Even though it’s fun, I think. But just to find themself, I think, would be priceless. What’s the first step you they should take to just do that.
Rachael Sparrow [00:14:17]:
Absolutely. And it is a fun job. Being a voice actor is very fun. I get to tell all different stories, but you’re right. Not everyone is going to be a storyteller in the same capacity that I am. But we’re all gonna have they shouldn’t be, though. They should make me people don’t. No. Not everybody. We don’t want too many people. But everyone’s gonna have to tell stories at some point. Right? So the first thing that I always I always assess is where are people speaking from? Okay. So if you’re the kind of person who maybe you have a very raspy voice, but you’re speaking very low. This is your fry. Okay? I can I can drop my voice, and I can still have a lot of energy, but be way down here. we wanna we wanna look for that. So if you have a lot of raspiness, it sounds you know, you’re trying to sound a certain way. It’s kind of like, that Kardashian sound. You know, a lot of people, like, think it sounds cool to talk down here. Well, you know, maybe that’s your opinion, but but it’s actually not good for your for your vocal cords to do that. In the same regard, if you’re the kind of person that maybe is living way up here
Rachael Sparrow [00:15:26]:
that you’re pushing everything very nasal, and you can you can see. Like, I feel like when I talk like this, my my whole body language changes. Right? So if you’re someone who speaks very nasal through your nose,
Rachael Sparrow [00:15:39]:
you might wanna check that out too. And a good way to know maybe you don’t know which category you fall into is ask your friends so you can hear in my normal speaking voice. I’m kind of using a combination of everything. You know, you want to be using everything equally. You want to it’s called speaking from your vocal mask or even singing from your vocal mask where you’re speaking from No. More of a nasal head voice, chest voice, but it’s all coming together in one beautifully mixed voice where very up front. You don’t feel like it’s overly in your nose or overly down here. So if you don’t know, if you’re using an extreme, Ask your friends because they’ll tell you. They know. And if you find that you’re overly up here nasally, Then there are different little silly vocal warm ups and things to get you to be more mixed properly, but but it It is sometimes a hard thing, Mario. It really is. But start with your friends. Start with recordings that you’ve done before. Maybe you’ve recorded Something interviewing somebody or being at an, I don’t know, company something or rather, everybody has recordings on Zoom, I’m sure, that you can look back and and watch yourself. So Number 1, really having those critiques and being able to to constructively criticize, don’t be hard on yourself. where very people are very hard on themselves. Are you hard on yourself?
Mario Fachini [00:17:10]:
You think you think people are who who would ever do that to themselves? I I so appreciate this because the fact is You probably have a lot of recordings like you’re saying. And for anyone that’s into sports or even music, Watch your game footage. Go back and see what you could do. Listen to it. Oh, but that’s not me. I don’t have any of that. Well then make some. It’s not that hard. Jump on camera, grab your cell phone, have someone record you. Heck, go walk out in public. I’m sure there’s forty eight people recording you Whether you know it, like it or not. But they just go back and look at it, and you’ll see what you’re doing. I love when people are like, oh, I I never said that. It’s in an email, Bob. I have it right here. Shall I read it off to the whole corporation? No. No. No. That’s fine. Oh, okay. Now you remember. That’s a good selective memory. But these are how people see you and perceive you. And when you’re taking it into business or personal, it’s important to know these things. So if you’re giving a presentation okay. We can do this. I wanna I wanna ask just a couple of them What are some good exercises to warm up your vocal cords, to warm up your voice, prior to a meeting, prior to a presentation, prior to speaking to someone even on the phone because there’s been times where and I’ll never forget this. I actually was getting ready for the show, and my throat was hurting so much I was drinking the water while I’d already hit the live button. I was choking live on air. And I don’t recommend that. But there’s other times it’s like you just get on the phone, and it’s like there’s a difference from being prepared and ready to, I’m gonna, you know, add as much value as I can to. You’re just not certain with yourself and not everything’s right. So what are a couple exercises we could do to warm up our vocal cords right now.
Rachael Sparrow [00:19:16]:
Oh, well this is where the fun happens. Right? Okay. So the first thing and this is this is intense. You ready, Mario? Always. You need to breathe. You need to breathe. That’s the first thing. So many times, doesn’t matter, right, if you’re a child, if you’re an adult giving a presentation, if you’re on a podcast. Our nerves get the best of us, and we forget to breathe. So a really, really good warm up number 1 is good for vocally, but then it’s also good to kind of clear your mind and just get centered is breathing in through your nose for 4. holding it for 5, blowing out your mouth for 6. So 456. And there are you know, if you just Google it and other people have different numbers, I just use 456 because it’s easy to remember. So you breathe in through your nose for 4. And I didn’t really count that one. But breathing in, Holding in, blow out your nose. That, I can’t even tell you. How many times that really helps people to to take the attention away from what they’re doing? and just focus on getting calm. Doesn’t matter how old we are. Heart starts to beat, and we get a little bit nervous in in any stage, and it even with things that we’ve done a ton of times, I’m a worship leader at my church, and I I sing and, you know, I have to I have to pray in front of a lot of people, and sometimes I get really nervous so I just tell myself, okay, just breathe. Number 2, alright, This is a little silly. But, again, sometimes you need to pull yourself out of your comfort zone. It’s called a head voice, chest voice sign off. Now, Mario, yours is gonna look a little and sound a little bit different than how I would do it because you’re a grown man, so you probably can’t I know maybe you can. I don’t wanna I don’t wanna judge. But, basically, going as high as you can without screaming and then going as low as you can without going down into that. that fry that I was talking about. And, again, sometimes people might think, well, I’m not a singer, but but you still speak. so you still need to warm up your voice just as you would as as a singer. So this one, you take a nice deep breath through your nose. Alright. Ready? I’ll do it first. and then I make I may make you do it. We’ll see. We’ll see. So it goes like this. And just doing a couple of those in your car before you’re about to do whatever you’re gonna do or in the living room since a lot of people are still working from home. really does help. Do you wanna try it? I do.
Mario Fachini [00:22:07]:
And I I wanna ask, why do you have to do it in your cart? Why not do it in the middle of the meeting?
Rachael Sparrow [00:22:13]:
Well, you could. You could get everyone to do it with you. I double dare you to do that and just take everybody out of their comfort zone so then you’re laughing and starting off your meeting in — I have not missed meetings,
Mario Fachini [00:22:24]:
but now I wanna go to one just to do that.
Rachael Sparrow [00:22:28]:
I think that would be a great idea. I really do.
Mario Fachini [00:22:31]:
You wanna try it? How do you go highlight that?
Rachael Sparrow [00:22:35]:
So you take a nice deep breath through your nose. And then, like, almost like you’re breathing into, like, a whisper. So I’m breathing into a whisper. Yeah. That’s good. Yes. Okay. That was good. Now do it again, but don’t close your mouth. because when we close our mouth, then the sound has nowhere to go. and we, like, snatch the sound out our nose. You know, the air comes right out our nose. You know, like, when you’re drinking soda and someone says something funny, and then you goes right out your nose. The sound is the same way. Yeah. So you can snarf your sounds, and all of a sudden, We don’t want it to snarp out your nose. So breathe into it.
Mario Fachini [00:23:23]:
almost like you’re yawning. Think that you’re yawning. That’s what I was gonna say the first time. Yeah. But now I want to.
Rachael Sparrow [00:23:35]:
That was better. That was better. And again, these little things They really do help take you out of your comfort zone, which, in turn, make you more confident, which, in turn, make you more confident for whatever you’re about to do. Definitely more relaxed.
Mario Fachini [00:23:48]:
It’s not a big deal. It’s all gonna work out.
Rachael Sparrow [00:23:52]:
Yes. Absolutely. It always works out. And you know what? I think as adults, we forget to play. You know? Like we’re just take things seriously and it’s important to to get out of your comfort zone and be silly and and do something that, I don’t know, is a little ridiculous, but It really does help me to build for the confident person. Yes. That’s the next one that And it makes you laugh. And then I think anytime you can laugh to to take off tension is a good thing.
Mario Fachini [00:24:28]:
I agree on a 100 son, and I thank you for that. I know there oh, mommy made me mash the m and m’s. What was it? It’s not Nashville. that was acapella. Very nice.
Rachael Sparrow [00:24:43]:
Yes. This will probably make some people cringe me, guys.
Mario Fachini [00:24:47]:
Is it Mashed the ovens? Well, we’re gonna do one more expert authority world because this one’s just too fun. What what is it again?
Rachael Sparrow [00:24:54]:
So it’s mommy made me mash my m and m’s. It’s that area is — — smashed. Yeah. So if you I don’t know who started mashing the M and M’s. Who started this warm up, but it’s been around since I was a kid, and I we did it in chorus, inquire, and and everything. But it’s just you know, I don’t have my piano in front of me, but it’s Mommy made me mock my m on m. That was pretty good. That’s a good one.
Mario Fachini [00:25:24]:
It’s a real good one.
Rachael Sparrow [00:25:27]:
But all this really just helps to, again, help you to be speaking from your vocal mask deliver your message with confidence. And and, also, if you’re gonna be speaking for a long time, you don’t wanna overly nasal and you don’t wanna be overly down here because the next day, you’re you’re not gonna be able to talk. You know? You’re gonna really lose your voice. So for people that are having to give presentations where you’re talking the whole day, you really need to take care of yourself, your your vocal instrument as much as you would be drinking water. I mean, you would never go a whole day without drinking water, so you have to make sure that you do these little silly things. They really do help. And, again — They’re fun too. Making sure that you really use those dynamics, the highs and lows, to tell your story, whatever it is, really just helps it to become more of an engaging story.
Mario Fachini [00:26:21]:
Well, Rachel, I appreciate all the insights here. to 30 World, incorporate this into your everyday speech, your everyday talk, your everyday everything, because whether you have a show or not, I recommend starting 1. Along with publishing a business book but regardless of what you choose, you have a voice. It’s not going anywhere, And, yeah, I don’t know. I I’m gonna say I pray that it doesn’t go any work because I know there’s some people that unfortunately don’t have their voice, and That would be horrible if you ask me. Rachel, I got one more question for you before we go to the imperfect action round. Wait. Did I finish my sentence? I don’t even know. Expert 30 world do better with your voice. She is awesome. Check out her YouTube channels and everything. There’s a lot more. I wish we could go through all of it, but I have one more question for you. It’s the wheel of whatever. Oh, So I incorporated play another show because I can’t be serious for too long, and doing doing these on regular basis back to back, I was like, we need some more Fun in here. So yellow or black.
Rachael Sparrow [00:27:30]:
Yellow.
Mario Fachini [00:27:31]:
Oh, good. Max my tie. Yellow. So my question for you is, if you weren’t doing this, what would you be doing?
Rachael Sparrow [00:27:44]:
Well, I have 2 kids. I’m married. I love just I don’t wanna say just being a mom. It’s the hardest job ever, but I would probably be more involved. I mean, I’m I’m that person who does a lot already. I’m a girl scout leader. You know, I’m really involved in my church, involved in my kids’ lives, but I would probably be, like, overload. It would be fire. You know, I’m PTO president. I don’t know. I would probably just go bananas, coach every single team The the working moms out there and dads, I feel like that’s that’s the best job you can have. So
Mario Fachini [00:28:27]:
Now I know you love what you do, so I wanna ask you, what’s been the funniest thing you’ve been able to do so far in What do you hope to do over the next 10 years?
Rachael Sparrow [00:28:40]:
Oh, gosh. You know, I got to be the voice of a dog, which was really fun for PetSmart. And I got to play I got to be really silly and used kind of a sillier side to my voice. That was that was great to tell that story. I’ve also done a lot of work for McGraw Hill, where I’m reading stories that kids, you know, they don’t have textbooks anymore as everything’s on their Chromebooks. So I get to read stories that my kids actually use in school, which is really neat. And and now I’m part of a new well, it’s new for me. an organization pod max talent. The the brand is pod max, and I am leading up the pod max talent division to really help people with all the things that we talked about today and then also help them to get on to amazing shows such as this one. podcasts really are the future. And if you have never been on a podcast or you don’t host a podcast, you’re really missing out, so Pod Max Talent has really helped me to bring together all the things that I love to help people shine. And Yeah. It’s it’s been a fun journey so far. You think podcasts will be around 10 years from now? Absolutely. I think they’re gonna be bananas. And who knows? I mean, so much has changed in such a short amount of time, but I think that absolutely they’re here to stay.
Mario Fachini [00:30:06]:
Well, appreciate the insights there. We’re gonna thank our sponsor and come back for the imperfect action round.

Mario Fachini [00:31:56]:
I got three questions for you. Rapid fire 60 second or less answers. What is the best way to improve your voice?
Rachael Sparrow [00:32:07]:
by first understanding your voice. So knowing a little bit more, getting some feedback, recording yourself, getting feedback from friends, keep it simple. Start there.
Mario Fachini [00:32:21]:
Excellent. Number 2. Why should someone improve their voice?
Rachael Sparrow [00:32:26]:
Well, we want to improve our bodies by making sure that we’re exercising. We eat the right things. It’s the same thing. You wanna protect your voice vocally so that you can consistently give your message. And and then also to make sure that you’re delivering the best story that can be told.
Mario Fachini [00:32:43]:
Excellent. Number 3, what is the biggest benefit of being comfortable in your own voice?
Rachael Sparrow [00:32:50]:
Oh my gosh. Well, being comfortable in your own voice is then being comfortable in your own skin. Right? And there’s only one version of you. so making sure that you are your authentic self. And and, again, you know, maybe if you all real you speak up here, and that’s your authentic self, and you’re happy with that. then you should be okay with that too. But these are just general rules of thumb to make sure that you’re you’re taking care of your instrument, but you’ve gotta be you. Right? That’s number 1. Absolutely.
Mario Fachini [00:33:20]:
What books would you recommend for Expert Authority world that have helped you?
Rachael Sparrow [00:33:25]:
Oh, goodness. You know, I’m just I don’t I don’t do a lot of books like like the self help kind of continue And I’m vocal. I’m I’m a big romance reader. So let’s see. I don’t I don’t know. The best book that I ever read, this is totally not giving your point at all, but the Nightingale? Nothing related, but it’s an incredible booking you should read it. Okay. How’s that? That’s fair.
Mario Fachini [00:34:01]:
All we I always just ask for honesty, and, you know, I’ve
Rachael Sparrow [00:34:04]:
I’ve I I’ve said the bible before. Like, when I do guest interviews, I mean, nothing’s gonna top that. I’ve had people say everything they’re — — get through the bible in a year. I have a bible app that, like, I try to I read a little bit every day. So — Then you are in the books.
